Right.

I was out last night with a friend and on the way home we saw a girl that had been in the club we were in stumbling back, obviously quite drunk and she seemed upset about something. She was pretty hot as well and the last thing she needed in that state was to bump into a load of drunk lads, so we wanted to make sure she got home OK.

After speaking to her it turned out she lived near by me, so the three of us shared a taxi back. On the course of the taxi ride home it turned out the reason she was upset was because in the same week her brother had died ( she was only about 18/19) and he boyfriend had dumped her. Now I'd never hit on a girl as drunk as she was out of principle anyway, and I certainly wouldn't have done it when she was obviously as upset as she was. So I just got a taxi up to her house, made sure she got home OK (as this genuinely was my concern all along, I wasn't anticipating hitting on her at any stage as I'd seen how drunk she was earlier in the night,) and then walked home myself. She was obviously hysterical, as most people would be if they were drunk in that situation.

However, she did mention during the taxi ride home where she works, it's a major clothes shop in town. Now do people on here think it would be adivsable for me to go in there at some point and ask her out? Bearing in mind it's only a week since her last boyfriend dumped her and obviously as a a result of her brother she's not going to be in exactly the soundest state of mind? I don't want to be seen to be taking advantage as I'm really not, she just seemed a really nice girl and she was hot and in any other situation (ie less drunk and not in mourning) I would have asked her out.

So, essentially what I'm getting at, is, if the above happened to you would you go for it and if so how? I'm not on here to ask stupid questions about every girl I meet in a bar so don't worry, I won't flood the boards with annoying crap, but I've never dealt with a girl in this situation before and can't really see anything in the bible about it either.

Go in now and talk to her a little. If she remembers you, you'll have a bit of a favorable impression. [If you wait a month, she won't remember you and it will be harder to get her]. If she seems friendly, ask her out for coffee/pop to get to know her. Decide if you will be the rebound guy[and whether you care]. She'll tell you if you are moving too fast[women are Great at removing unwanted attention]

Yeah, I was thinking along these lines myself but wanted a few other opinions.

The fact that she works in a massively popular clothes shop is helpful as it kind of allows me to test the water without looking like a stalker or something!

You'll need to strike while the iron is hot as far as setting up a date- it won't take much time for your good deed to lose value.

Yeah, I was thinking Saturday as I'm pretty sure thats when she works with her being a full time student.
