I was browsing this morning, and I caught a line that said, "Women love how men make them feel."

Obviously, that alone cannot lead a woman to stay with her man.

This board advocates devotion as one of many characteristics found in loyal women.

I am thinking that devotion arises once the degree of feelings that the woman experiences hits a certain point.

So where does devotion come from? And how is the woman's love, or devotion in this specific case, for the man, not the feelings he evokes within her, sustained?
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

a little thing called attachment, friendship, love, etc

alot of things. you can't just pinpoint it to one thing

that's like asking what makes you stay friends with your friends.

A woman's devotion stems from how much she feels needed in the relationship. Which is why you have women who stay with guys who are alcholics or drug addicts, because she feels like a guy like that NEEDS her to get better.

We are all self serving creatures. The sooner you come to terms with that concept the better you will understand women and yourself.

The media would like us to believe that love is eternal and unconditional. Make no mistake about it: Love is very much conditional, and as long as you can make a woman go crazy for you, the longer she will love you. Same goes for men, would you really feel in "love" with a woman if she stopped sleeping with you or became fat and unattractive to you?! the answer is no.

Fear of losing a man is also a motive for a woman to stick around not just the way he makes her feel about herself.

Women can not feel true "love" unless they believe there is something they can do which will cause them to lose you.

Aside from that the physical attraction and your attitude need to be in check.

Regardless, if you are dealing with a troubled one all the rules go out the window.
