The next day she came to me out of the blue and said explained something about having job interviews in a far away city,which could be relevant. Anyway, I have her on facebook now so there is a channel open if she wants to get in contact.

Yeah, I would've thrown in a C+F comment in place of the (bewildered). I wouldnt say the statement was clear rejection.

It's also possible your one night stand was just that, remember to keep your head.
