My influences and sources are listed at the end of the article. I'm only posting this to gather my thoughts and understand everything more thoroughly for my own self-improvement.
Approaching, Conversing, and Closing
1. Ask a NEUTRAL question
How?
Ask them a sincere question about something. (ie. Directions, Time [don't have a watch on!], Shared observation [both looking at same thing], etc)
Why?
You establish you have no intentions, thus the ***** shield is never risen. Remember, if the first thing you do is compliment, you are forced to confront the ***** shield.
Example:
(Anywhere)Excuse me, do you know the time?
(Mall)Excuse me, do you know where [STORE] is?
(Museum)Fascinating, isn't it?
Worst Case Scenarios:
She says sorry and walks away.
She simply says no.
She completely ignores you.
She turns her head to you, then turns away with a superior, judgmental look.
She pulls pepper spray out of her purse and sprays you down.
2. Give a compliment about something on her
How?
Be surprised and excited when finding something you like about her and give a SINCERE compliment, then follow up a question about it. Be sure to have SOLID eye contact when you ask, or you will display low self esteem.
Why?
Women love being noticed, it makes them feel unique and important, however, it must be something that she put a lot of effort into. It can be clothes, accessories, or even hair-- just NOT something they inherited genetically. Just remember that a lot of women spend a lot of effort over which shoes to buy and wear, so try to see if you like what they're wearing--NEVER GIVE A FALSE COMPLIMENT.
Example:
Oh, wow, very nice shoes!
I love your bracelet.
Your hair looks very interesting!
Worst Case Scenarios:
She says thanks and gives you a superior judgmental eyebrow look.
She says nothing and looks away.
She says nothing and gives you a raised eyebrows and a slight turning of the head in a judgmental way.
She says you're not her type with a judgmental look.
She screams rape at the top of their lungs and starts wildly flailing her arms.
3. Ask for their name, then give them yours with a smile.
How?
Ask her for her name in a confident, jovial manner.
Why?
It establishes comfort and removes you off of the stranger list.
Example:
You ask, "What's your name?" in a curious manner, then after she says, "I'm [NAME]" say, "I'm [NAME], pleasure/nice to meet you."
Worst Case Scenarios:
She says she has a boyfriend.
She asks you for your name instead and doesn't tell you hers.
She politely declines giving you her name.
She says, "I'm not giving you my name" with a superior judgmental look with the eyebrows raised and pressed together.
She says her name is John.
4. Question, Paraphrase, and Create Similarities.
How?
Ask open-ended questions and reciprocate with elaborated agreements, paraphrasing with guessing how she felt, or stories that sincerely remind you of what they said to establish similarities. The key is to be as open with your mind as possible and let anything pop into your head that reminds you of it, and roll with what you have. Listen for clues and GIVE clues to further the conversation, when you run out of current clues to follow up on, fall back to one of the beginning clues and follow that path. Remember that women are emotional beings so try to stick to feelings rather than typical questions strangers ask.
Why?
If you lose focus and concentration on the clue uptake, you will be at a loss of words, thus will not have established a solid foundation, which will force an early departure on your part.
Example:
I got it for my birthday last week from my friend. CLUES: Her feelings about the birthday, what she did on her birthday, other gifts, the friend, etc.
I bought these at [STORE] last weekend with my friends. CLUES: Friends, [STORE], her feelings about the shoes, something the shoes remind you of, etc.
Worst Case Scenarios:
She talks with no eye contact and closed body language.
She says she doesn't have time to talk.
She says she's in a rush and walks off.
She says she doesn't have time for this and walks away.
She knees you in the groin, and as you hit the ground she mounts you, then scratches your face until you look like you were thrown head first into a wood chipper.
5. Create pressure, close the conversation, and get their number.
How?
The best way to close is to create pressure by being in a rush, then asking for their number. If she asks for your number instead, tell her, "I don't give my phone number out...Let's trade numbers" By saying you don't give your phone number out, but are willing to compromise your rules just for her, you create even more pressure. Remember to have pen or paper or whip out your cell phone!
Why?
If you ask it as a question, she is more likely to say no. Using a statement implies that there's nothing wrong, while a question means there is a possibility of a no.
Example:
"I've gotta go, but we should talk more. Write your number down."
"I've gotta get going--here's my cellphone, put your number in."
"You seem cool, I gotta head out now. Write down your number, and maybe we'll hang out."
Whip your cellphone out "I gotta go, give me your number, maybe we'll hang out."
Worst Case Scenarios:
She says she has a boyfriend.
She gives you a number starting with "555"
She says no and walks away.
She laughs at you and says you aren't her type.
She gives you a disdainful, judgmental look and says you're too fat/skinny.
She takes you by the hand into a bathroom stall, she pulls down your pants and blows you...but 3 months later you find some new friendly warts down there.
