About a month ago I was doing pullups and somewhere in my upper left back around my scapula i felt a slight pull. It didn't really hurt at the time but i quit lifting for the day.
The past weeks since then i've lost a lot of strength in chest and tricep exercises. But if i use the right side ONLY i'm still strong.
For example, today i went in and lifted my normal weight with my right side on DB bench and almost half of that with my left. They were equal a month ago. It really feels like my left side refuses to push. It's like it just won't listen. I tried to bench and i struggled with 95 lbs. ninety five lbs.
If i do pullups now my right is obviously pulling more and i'm leaning that way. Same with dips and tricep pushdowns. Rows are unaffected as well as squats and deadlifts.
Currently it feels a little stiff and sore in my left upper back if i tilt my head back and to the left. It doesn't hurt at all in general. Only if i tilt my head that way. I feel no pain doing ANY lifts. Oh, i also feel a tingling in my upper left forearm when i do this.
What's wrong with me? What can I do? I've had this sort of neck pain before throughout my life (not with any regularity or anything), but never this huge drop in strength before. I feel this is more than "wait for it to heal." I never take this long to heal from anything.
Don't say go to a doctor/chiro/whatever. That is obvious. I'm asking for ideas so i can research before i do that. I'm thinking some sort of trigger point or nerve compression is going on. If that's it, any idea which trigger point or nerve it would be?
Thanks
