1. when they text first me i always call back. the sooner the better. just keep the calls short. i call about over... 3 days... or something like that. assuming there's positive response. the idea of calling is getting next date and maybe lifting bit her emotions. but she has to be responsive you can't lift the emotions of a brick wall.
2. i don't initiate mostly kino. i don't have to, because they do it. maybe you have to do it first, i don't know. it's funny because i was surprised that girl does not kill you or call immediately the security when you touch her purposely.
3. when they initiate kino (that's normal, don't freak about it) that's the sign that they're ready to be more touched and kissed. and kissing leads to...
anyway the less work the better. it's much more about your presence that your deeds.

how much work do you have to do: it really depends. personally, im in college, and i havent been on a date in very very long time. (since of middle of senior year in HS). So far in college, getting laid generally happens after meeting the girl for the first time- or else barely knowing the girl and then running into her at a party.
one of the best tactics i know of, is meeting a girl in class and just exchanging small talk, keep it flirty but ntohign serious. then a little while later, invite her to a party -if she goes, you know shes interested. then work it from there, even if she's just there to have to have fun, you'll be one of the only guys she knows (and im sure you'll know plenty of people, as you got to choose the party); this gives a lot of social proof and she should stick to you like glue.
to asnwer your questions specifically
1: i never call, as i dont have reason to, but i certainly initiate the convo -but only after recieving an ioi like a smile or soemthing
2: i definately start the kino. for me, my favorite approach is during beer games. where i'll pretty much go for "high fives" left and right. then a little while later, i get alittle more touchy, and after some more time, shes probably touching me just as much
3. sex is a little tricky. you dont exactly tell her "i want sex" or anything but definately always i go for the kiss. when that heats up, shell most certainly always lead you to the next step. IF not, escalate little by little. she'll let you know if youve gone too far.
