It depends on the situation. If he's making fun of an Alpha who's trying to steal the girls he's with, then he's trying to defend what's his.

What if this guy who's so inclined to bash others to come off so superior gets offended when you make a remark back and demands an apology?
Happened to me and I was like give me a break, do I ever cry about it when you incessently make put downs? Worse yet, gf thinks I'm being too egotistical by not apologizing.
Suggestions?

Let the Alpha and the wannabe-alphas butt heads with each other. While they're preoccupied with their battle of male superiority sarge any nearby women out from under them. It's usually very easy since most women don't enjoy Three Stooges-like gameplay.tryst type said:

Because these guys or in this case "guy" is a friend and tends to always do this.
What's best course of action when around guys like this? Seems ignoring could make them think they hurt your feelings and play off that to feed their stupid habit.

Nice friend. I'm with Bussey, why are you hanging around with him? Whatever control he has over you is effecting you negatively and not just with your game. Reset is probably onto something about this effecting your self esteem.

So if I'm not supposed to react. Why does my gf think I'm egotistical for not apologizing to him? I said one small come back remark which I threw out in good humor and now the antagonist thinks I'm at fault where I never care to let his words affect me.

She felt I should apology since it got him all worked up when everyone knew he was just joking entire time. My defense was no way I never cry when he "jokes" about me and ask for an apology he can handle what I said. That's what made her call me egotistical.
