I don't want anything of that typical "8-5 monday to friday job with a wife and 2.2 kids" that society always tells us we should. That's just the most boring way to live your life, and it's basically only waiting for your deathbed. I want so much more!

First off, I want to be a cop, so my job will be all about different new things (as a cop where I live, there is, IIRC, 117 sub-jobs you can do beside patrolling) - Swat being my ultimate goal.

Second off, I want to be in the military reserve to keep myself busy during the vacations / day off, so with all the money I'll make I want to go on nice long trips across the world.

Third off, training and sport is really important to me. Right now I train 5x per week, do MMA 3-4x per week and play squash at least 1x per week. When I get a real job as a cop I might have to slow it down a bit, but if I end up being married and having kids with a 8-5 job, how would I even be able to do any of that stuff!?

Fourth, I want to be able to do what I want, when I want, go out when I want and **** who I want.

How would any of that be possible if I lived the ''typical'' life!? That's just the most boring **** ever! You guys agree?

i agree that living the normal life is stupid and something i hope to never have to resort to...im just wondering how being a cop is any different. i know where im from (canada if you havent guessed) they work like 4 days on 2 days off or some wierd schedule like that. i suppose that does offer variety, but joining the military reserve would be something really cool to do man. meet alot of different people, make some extra cash, not to mention the respect for doing that.
