This is not going to be a revelation ...

This was just a spur of the moment act by me that I thought was ridiculous enough to post on here.



I am at the mall talking to this hot chick when she sees a cute guy and goes "oouuuu!" - during the middle of our CONVO... WTF???

Without skipping a beat I look at the guy and go "ohhh, your right" then I start walking towards him "but unlike you - I am not affraid to approach"

I go up to him and realize his buddy is next to him behind a pole ... I start talking with them - they are cool dudes - we are all laughing ... good stuff

I walk back to the hot chick and tell her that the guy she saw is just "ok" but there is a really cute guy behind the pole and he is really funny

She is just laughing at this point "You are something else"

Number close - easy as pie
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Wow - great job!

While I read your post I immediately "pictured" (in my mind), myself doing the exact same thing you did - with no hesitation.

I find it SIMPLE and EASY to approach a male. I think it is an old AFC "mindset" that puts up mental blocks on approaching a female with that same ease.

Thinking about it more, I have no expectations of any sort when approaching a strange/unknown male. Where with a female, I think I immiedately put up some kind of expectations or an "end result" mindset.

A change in paradigms will be required for me. I have made some in the past year in the quest to improve upon myself. I believe I need to add this to the running lists of paradigm changes I need to truly make.

Yeah, I'm sorry but I didn't get this. It sounds like you just went and hit on a guy. So the girl was chatting with you (I'm assuming shes someone youre interested in) and then saw a "cute" guy and said "oooouuu". So you turned to her and said "ooh, you're right!" and went to chat with the guys? Er...

Maybe I'm missing something here. I mean yeah, woot, you can talk to anyone. But why would you want to chat with a couple of random guys you don't know? Sounds kinda gay.

I think that's what saved you, right there. I think walking up to the guy and chatting with him makes you a little bit ..'weird', but coming back to her and said that his friend is 'cute' - though that makes you sounds gay - is what makes you 'something else'.

No one ever said that it wasnt ok to talk to other men. Its just the fact that after chatting up those doods he went back to her and agreed that he was cute. What if she somehow she got to talking to them herself and told them "hey, I thought you were cute and my friend(gay friend now) agreed.".

Your so insecure, what you don't realize is that 99% of women will think, wow this guy has balls, He's a real man.

However you can be the guy who's afraid to take a step forward because he's scared of whats going to happen 10 steps down the road if you want. Do you know what percentage of women would assume a man is gay in the scenario described?

Who said anyone's afraid? It's not about fear, it's about approaching guys is pretty gay. Then again I wouldn't know, I don't approach guys nor have I ever had a girl stop me when I was talking to say "Oooo look hot guys!", mainly because her eyes and mouth were on me.

I've seen girls do that around gay men though.

Nah I think you guys missed what I meant.. I was curious as to how the OP managed to become friends with someone in a matter of seconds. Nothing sexual about it at all.
