How do you wake up in the morning motivated to do the things you need to do in your life?

I have plenty of goals, dreams and set plans on how to achieve them, and to put it bluntly, I know what I have to do at this point in life.

The problem is, on a day to day basis I just can't summon the motivation to actually go forward with these plans. Sure there are good days where a lot gets done, but for the most part I seem to be taking a very passive/unmotivated approach to everything that will help me in my future.

Anyone been down this road before?

The fact that you know you have goals has set your mind in the right frame. What you need is proper direction. This can come from many different avenues. It can come from reading a book, watching a film, social interaction with other like minded individuals in the area of which you want to grow.

In your case I would suggest the latter avenue as the one which you would benefit the most.

Remember brother, courage builds confidence. 100% of the time.

Find a trigger. I have the same problem, but this past week I found the triggers that lead to productivity....and UNproductivity.

Unproductive triggers:

- laptop
- my room...too cozy
- bed nearby
- video games
- internet

Productive triggers:

- radio music while studying
- library setting
- thinking about how hard my parents work in their lifetime compared to my lazy sorry ass gets me going pretty quickly as well...guilt is a powerful motivating factor

so those are my triggers....use them to help you do stuff...combined productive triggers and removing unproductive ones
