Me and my buddy 'string bean' decided to work on our approach anxiety by making an effort to say hello and hi to all women we passed in the mall and/or on the street.
This made it much more natural for us to at least strike up an opener to those who seemed interested. After doing this for about 45 minutes to an hour it seemed to be empowering just counting the number of people who acted friendly vs the ones who ignored it..
Of course the ones who ignored it we let out a "It's okay to say Hi".. with a smile and that seemed to neg them a bit enough to get a sincere smile and a hello back.
This method is in honor of the south. Where it really is okay to be friendly to strangers.
-Messenger.. Dj in training.
P.S This also helped us practice our tonality of how we said things.. Saying hello as if you knew the person was always fun.. I then follow this up with a "You seriously don't remember me, do you?"
Let me know your thoughts on this..
