Why do I care so much about my g/f`s past? I met one of her "buddies" a while back, and she said..."you will really like him, he`s a cool guy....I could see you guys hanging out".........then yesterday out of the blue, i ask her if there was ever anything there....and she gets quiet, then tells me they made out a few times......

If a girl is going to tell you that you should go for a beer with someone, shouldnt they tell you if there is history there?? so I got pissed, called her a liar and then we fought.......Please tell me im not the only guy that finds something like out and then starts to picture the worse?

I must add that I live in a real small town...

It's possible that she wanted the two of you side by side to compare. Which one is better. Possibly, you are better. Possibly, he is better.. Possibly she wanted a threesome.

Why? Because now you know that you are insecure, and are doing unattractive things when you feel insecure.. Don't like a girl for that, sure let's go out for a beer, and later we could come back to your place, and watch a movie, just the 3 of us.

Maybe she actually thinks he is just a cool guy? Maybe she really does think you guys would get on? Maybe she didn't want to spill the beans about her past because it's none of your business? Maybe she didn't want to say she fooled around with him a few times long before you were around because she didn't want you pre-disposed to think of him as a threat?

She didn't even lie when you asked her outright. She instead gave an awkward positive. Awkward because she was probably scared you'd react in a stupid way.

You've just proven her reluctance to be warranted, and made it clear that she does have to be careful about what she says around you and indeed she probably regrets telling you the truth. Maybe the next time, she'll find it easier to lie and keep secrets?

You fvcked up dude. Bite the bullet and apologise.

Oh and for the future, train yourself to not care so much about her past. Don't dig because you'll only find things to make you uncomfortable, never anything good. And play it cool and don't freak out on your girl. She'll be more comfortable, more open and honest and more trusting if tend to be cool about situations like this.

DavenJuan: i guess my post didnt give enough info....a "**** test" is the last thing this girl would do....she is pretty genuine and has good intentions....she didnt deliberately want me to hang out with an old fling....she kind of erased it from her past....I`m her first real long term b/f...

I ADMIT I am in the wrong...it , I mean she can tell me she "made out" with some guy and I start assuming the worse and questionning her....and she never asks about my past or doesnt care to know....Guess I need to bounce it off.....by nature, i overanalyze everthing......

For 24 years old, she has an excellent past and I cant appreciate it......I sometimes go looking for ****...
