Girl gets waitress to give me her number at restaurant~!

So I was in a restaurant today, and the waitress brought me a sheet of paper with the following message:

To the guy with the blue shirt and dark hair sitting by the window:

Laura 555-5555

Im the girl with the black hair and pink ribbon

- (names and details have been changed)

Of course, I look around the restaurant and there is nobody there. She had just left!~



So I called the number, and I'm going to go on a date with her this week. I'm only concerned because nobody in the restaurant caught my eye. Of course I wasn't looking around a lot, but usually if there's an attractive type I take notice....

So this'll be fun. I'll write about the happenings by the end of the week.

Oh and I already have a plan to find out what she looks like....
 

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Perhaps "she" will show up as a 200lb guy in high heels with "I love Chico" tattooed on his arm. Good luck..

So "Laura" was a patron and not working there? Well did you ask her for her description, height/weight when you set up the date on the phone? Blind dates usually turn out bad, but you never know. It'd be interesting to see how this turns out.

The day you realize that getting a number from a WAITRESS is truly not a big deal…it is the day you will realize that you have reached a level of Prize. I personally won’t call a waitress. Not at this stage of my life and especially career.

You've misunderstood: the waitress delivered a number to me from one of the other patrons of the restaurant.

I do not think this is a big deal. It's just a fun little mystery for now.

This is no reflection on you Luveno, but I've always thought of blind dates (or any equilivant of it), as a way for "hard-up" people to get dates. I told myself (figuratively) I'd never resort to a blind date, and I never did.

Just an opinion, but IMO DJ's don't do blind dates.

I don't do blind dates either but I would go out on this date. It's just such an odd experience that you have to see what happens. If nothing else, it will be a fun story to tell!

Attractive women generally don't do that. Although I HAVE seen it before from time to time. I wouldn't expect her to be an outright "hottie", though. Hotties wait for the man to approach. It's a screening mechanism...guys too scared to approach would be too dumbfounded by her beauty to be any fun.

i use to think the same way. now though my attitude is constantly be doing things you wouldn't normaly do. worst that happens on a blind date is that you waste an evening with a chic you aren't interested in. no big deal. and odds are if you are being 'set up' you won't be completely incompatible.

i think blind dates are perfect opportunities to practice being a DJ in an uncomfortable situation. if you can turn a blind date into a fun evening, then you've got what it takes to charm any woman.

Hah. This reminds me of a situation a month or so ago - two broads saddled up at the bar beside me, and the friend initiated a convo. Then after awhile, the friend blurts out, "So, do you want me to give you her phone number?"

Unfortunately, it didn't pan out, but intriguing nonetheless.

What Adventure? Crossing your fingers and hoping she isn't as big as the Goodyear Blimp?

I'd start going on blind dates the moment I had any trouble getting dates with chicks I actually saw first and confirmed are HB7 or better.

The girl ran out real fast after giving that note to the waiter because she was fat, or just plain unattractive. Hot/high value chicks simply don't act this way as was already stated.

Definitely agreed. The last 2X that happened to me it was a girl I don't think was too attractive and a gay guy.

Hot girls don't have to chase guys, but beat them off and filter through them all.

Also, confident girls would just walk up to you - not pass a note.


The only "exception" is Myspace, where it's easy for any girl just to send you a "hi." So, even cute girls might do it.

Blind date is no longer blind

Hello gentlemen,

through the magic of facebook I've snagged some recent pictures of note girl.

Out of respect for privacy, I'm not going to show them.

She's not bad. She's no supermodel or actress, but she's above average, and dresses well. On the silly HB scale she's a 7. (isn't HB 1 kind of an oxymoron?)

She's thin too, which is important. She also has some hot friends;) and seems to be connected with the wealthier side of town.

Barring unforseen concequences, I'm going to go on the date anyway - that's a ballsy move on her part so I may as well humor her. At the very least I may make a good social connection; an "in" so to speak, with her hot rich bimbo friends.
