After using this site for almost a year, this is the first post that has actually made me register to respond.
Don't buy that stuff...
Go to flickr.com and search around the groups. I used a bunch of sites that paid royalties every time someone downloaded them. You can definitely get money this way, but you have to have photos that are NEEDED and meet the site's qualifications. They judge some of yours when you first sign up, and if they don't pass, you don't get to post your photos and make money.

I have a flickr site that I post some of my stuff when I'm not lazy.
Other sites.. check our fredmiranda, I find tons of helpful info on there; as most of the shooters do it as their main job.

As for this thread, it's a scam. What they're trying to "sell" is an opening into a stock photography market. Most (if not all) of the reputable stock photography websites... backtrack... stock photography is pictures of generic things such as houses, carrots, smiling couples, etc. A photographer I've done some work for in the past has made a small fortune simply off of one stock photo he took in his studio of a small shopping cart loaded with groceries. Apparently the European grocery market found it and started using it to an extreme degree. Then again, he has a $46k camera and a full studio setup, but the end result is that in order to make a lot of money as a stock photographer, you have to have the right equipment and invest more time into it than most people have free. After all, what's so different about the stock photos you're taking than the stock photos taken by Joe Blow in New York?

I still think I'm lucky making ~$50/hr taking pictures of all sorts of things, from events to portraits, especially as I'm still in school for another 9 months and would rather take pictures than find a 'real' job. I've done it for years, and I'll probably keep doing it for even longer. However, short of the guy I was talking about earlier, I've not seen anybody make anywhere near $250/hr working from home. What they'll do is have you pay your money, get generic information you could find for yourself on google, and laugh all the way to the bank.

its probably a digital large format camera that have enormous sensors like 20 megapixels.
but you don't need that to take photos worthy of magazines, its all about the lighting.
but i definatly agree with diablo about it being a scam. there are very few people who make a livable salary on photography.

Perhaps the Hasselblad camera?
What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
