Messenger Bag with Brown blazer and shoes

I heard wearing brown and black is a no-no but thats when they say black shoes and brown belt or vice versa.


My question is can you wear brown shoes/brown belt and a brown blazer but carry a BLACK messenger bag? Or would brown be the best thing? Not sure if this has been discussed before.
