Went out tonight for a going away party for a chick I know. Hit a couple of clubs, had a great time, and when the clock struck 2 a few of us headed to the pizza joint around the corner for a slice of the best pie in town.

We get our food and head upstairs where they have some tables. I sit down and glance over at the table next to me, and I'm thinking to myself that one of the 3 chicks sitting there looks familiar. Couldn't really see her straight on but it looked like the 21 yr old I messed around with a couple of times over the last few weeks.

So my friends arrive at my table and we are eating our pizza. A minute or so later some dude walks up to the table of girls and plops his ass down and starts eating with them.

When the guy first sat down the girls weren't rude to this guy but at the same time they were dropping hints that he wasn't welcome.

Subtle cues eventually gave way to an all out verbal assault. Turns out it WAS the 21 yr old that I know, and she was letting this guy have it, no holding back.

This guy was probably in his mid to late 40's, and she started telling him he needs to get lost, his grandkids are older than she is...it was HILARIOUS!

I just sat back and watched the show for awhile, this chick didn't even know I was there. My friends and I had finished our pizza and we were just sitting there laughing at this guy getting a tongue lashing.

The problem is, this guy STILL didn't take the hint after he was being called a grandpa and sh!t. He refused to leave, so things escalated.

Next thing I know, this dude throws a cup of water in the 21 yr old's face. She in turn launches her remaining pizza at him.

By that time I had seen enough, so I got up and told the dude to walk away. He started getting mouthy with me but I stood my ground. He started to pick up one of the metal chairs, but my friend got up as well, and one of the other guy's friends came over and broke it up.

Funny thing is, usually when you get into that kind of situation your fight or flight mechanism kicks in and the adrenaline starts to go through the roof, and you are ready to either run, or knock someone's ass out, but I was cool as a cucumber. Told the dude he needed to get lost and I don't even think my heart rate went up. Weird.

So the 21 yr old finally realizes it's me. She jumps up to hug me, calling me her "Superman" and asking where I came from, cause she hadn't realized I was there until that point.

By this time the manager of the pizza joint was escorting us all out. Chick was soaking wet and hugging me, so I'M soaking wet too. We all had a good laugh about it and eventually parted ways.

Well, I've fooled around with this chick twice, both times she ended up leaving before I got the chance to hit it. With this little "episode" I think my chances of sexing this one just went up about tenfold.

Funny, you could see the awe in these girl's faces after I stood up to this dude. It was like everyone there was looking at me like a hero. Strange feeling, cause I've never really been put in that kind of situation before.

My life gets more interesting by the day....

I don't have any problems with the "big balls" approach, I don't care how old you are. The bigger the age discrepancy the less likely it is to work, but I don't fault anyone for trying.

The problem in this situation was the fact that this guy was repeatedly told to leave. One of his friends was actually at the table with him in the beginning but when the girls made it known that they weren't welcome, the other dude took off. The one guy just wouldn't leave.

You can get past a layer of ice, but you aren't gonna bust through a three foot thick concrete wall. This dude was just digging himself deeper and didn't know when to cut his losses.

You became the real life "Captain Save-a-ho", literally.

Why didn't you take her, or both of them with you? She'll probably think you were following her, since she doesn't know you just happened to be there by chance.

Man, I don't know where someone gets off basically assaulting a chick like that.

Trust me, when this guy wouldn't leave she let him have it, but it was only verbal. She was saying, "Get lost, you're creepy" and calling him old and whatnot. I guess his pride took a pretty big hit and he felt like he had to do something to save face.

If the guy would have gotten up and walked away afterwards I might not have even gotten involved, but he stood up and I didn't know if he was going to hit her or push her or something. Good thing he didn't cause I don't know what I would have done if he would have put his hands on her. I honestly think he might have gotten violent cause when he stood up he was moving toward her and she was egging him on, that's when I had to step in.

Damn, I didn't do anything with the intention of getting paid back, but I better at least get a BJ from this chick next time I see her, seeing the fact that we already have a little history. I could have gotten stabbed or something!

I decided to "ride off in the sunset". Might have been able to bring them back to my place right then and there, but I think I have a better shot at the one by isolating her next time I see her. She works with another chick I am pretty good friends with so I will be seeing her again.

She'll probably think you were following her, since she doesn't know you just happened to be there by chance.

Maybe a chump move to some but I've done it in the past and I can't say that I wouldn't do it in the future. What specifically I would do would depend on the situation.

I agree with what he did. There is no denyin', he saved the ho. Nothing wrong with that. Not implying he was AFC or a chump. A lot of cats here are the captain save ho's figuratively, with their intentions, in this instance he literally actually did, even though his were not from the same angle as the chumps do.

He does want to bang her, he wanted to bang her before this incident, and wants to tap it in the future, as he mentioned,lets get this straight. Nothing wrong with that. He just happened to be there at the same time. Sounds like a script ending, and he even says he wanted to "fade into the sunset". That's what made me think of the term.

She sounds like a mouthy chick who either likes or needs to be slapped ..... there are better ways to get rid of an annoying person than that ....

people are crazy these days and sometimes it better to just walk away .... it sounds like you enjoyed defending her and kudos to you . what he did was not right ..but she was no more right than he was .....people in todays day and age have been killed for less ....

I would take this episode as a red flag .......... she sounds like trouble, and personally I would exercise extreme caution here ...

Yea, there's a difference between trying to impress a chick and actually standing up to protect a friend, regardless of if you are interested in getting in her panties.

Hell, I thought about it and I honestly think I might have done the same thing even if I DIDN'T know her. I might have held back to see if he actually got violent with her, but if he had touched her I don't think I could have sat back and watched even though it wouldn't have been my problem.

What would you do if some drunk ass decides to not only assault a woman first (throwing the water), but actually gets physically violent and hits or pushes her?

Three college girls might be able to do SOMETHING to fight this guy off but someone's gonna get hurt and it's not cool to beat up on anyone unless it's self defense.

I agree, she went overboard. My other friends I was with thought so as well. But words are one thing, and getting physical is another. I would have let it go all night (or maybe went over and sat down with her, he likely would have gotten the picture then) had it not been for him throwing the water at her. That's crossing the line and demonstrating that you are capable of taking it to another level. When I made my presence known the dude looked pretty agitated. I wouldn't have put it past him to have done something else.

I didn't enjoy anything until I had three pretty little college chicks looking at me like I was DA MAN I honestly didn't think or feel anything at all....I just reacted as soon as I saw the potential for violence. Trust me, I'm not a confrontational person by any sense of the word.

Let me just ask, if this "old guy" was built like a TV wrestler and you were alone, would you have been so keen to intervene. Similarly, if the girl was an ugly beast and the male intruder was her age, would you intervene?

You don't know thing one about the basis of a public fight generally, like who has what relationship with whom or why they are fighting.

I don't think this was a good move - unless from a purely altruistic POV (e.g., you would have done the same for a middle aged woman {i.e., or any woman with low SMV} being accosted, etc.) Of course, if the guy woud have started to physically punch her, you would have had a solid reason irregardles to assist her.

Like others have said, this guy could have been armed, and ready to "out-alpha" you by assaulting you. It sounds like you didn't have any type of relationship to his chick other than some casual bar conversation.

If this really did have an effect on her, she would have strongly hinted that you should get together - but that didn't seem to happen. She seemed to look upon you the same way that the single mommy looks upon a prospective provisioning husband. But then again, it never hurts to be looked upon in a defending warrior way; perhaps in the future, you will derive some benefits from the episode.

I didn't do it because I have fooled around with the chick and want more, but I reacted WHEN I did because I do know her. If it were someone else....I wouldn't have gotten involved unless it escalated. With her it was because I didn't want to see her get hurt and from what I know of her she wouldn't have backed down and the guy might have done something more.

This chick is a friend of a friend who I met on cinco de mayo, we have partied a few times since and gotten progressively more physical with each other each time.

I have to tell you though....I've never been in the position of having to defend a woman from physical violence, and it was quite a rush to see the look on these girls faces when I sent this dude packing.

Another female friend of mine was with me at the time and I think I shocked her a little as well. She's never seen that side of me, and I'm sure that between these two girls the "hero" story will get back to at least a dozen other women I know. Just like women spreading the word about your sexual prowess....it can't be bad for your rep!
