One of my fears about dating is best summed up by Dex In the Tao of Steve


"Dex: Amen! I mean my biggest fear is that I'm gonna marry the woman that I want to hang out with and talk to in my golden years and then die in a fiery car crash when I'm forty and I miss all those years of having sex."


The unfortunate thing about my experience is that I have little and everytime I try to get some advice, I get the ol' "you don't want to go down that road." And that isn't coming from just AFC's but all sorts of people.

This lack of direction, didn't deter me, but made me a sort of Ronnin DJ, while drastically changing what I want out of life. I used to want to settle down and all that AFC BS. Now I just want to fvck about fifty women. Then MAYBE settle down.

Has anyone else felt this way? How can I deal with this?

You'll see after about 6 or 7 that mostly all of them are the same and no girl no matter the face or body is going to give you anything special sex-wise. I'm no old-timer, but pretty mature and alot of life experience and I can tell you, sex with someone who you love is better than fvcking 1000 women in your life-time.

Always trying to improve, communicating fears, emotional closeness, ect...

Might sound AFC and femaleish, and well maybe my girl just has me whipped but i'm seeing life through a new pair of lenses. The purpose of life is to find your partner and to share memories. Would you rather die alone with the memories of all the 9's and 10's you've fvcked in ur past or die next to the love of your life ?

I'd rather not die at all thanks. I am to young to settle down now. To me this isn't just about finding the "one." This is about setting out to do something realistic that will make finding the one easier and keeping easier as well. I am not successful at a whole lot of things, but this is one thing that I have chosen to pursue.

It is frustrating and unfair, that I would have to sit arround waiting for the one, while everyone else is out having fun. I want to have fun to. I don't think that is wrong. And I am no longer ashamed of it either.

I am not at the point in my life where I want to or even can settle down. I just want to have some fun while striving for a tangible goal. I am single, I don't think I should be tied down to someone I haven't even met yet. If she convinces me to give that goal up, then great, if not then it likely wasn't going to work out anyway. Besides, I am young and have the rest of my life to find the one, I don't have the rest of my life to have as much fun as I can right now.
