I share with you a lesson.

I always subscribed to the understanding that relationships were hard. Thus I put up with a lot of junk because thats 'what you do in a relationship'.

Thanks to some great posters on this site I am learning that relationships are not hard. Life is hard yes. Thats why you should not add to the difficulty with the wrong persons for you. With the right persons, life will still be hard, but you are in it together, as happy as can be in that particular moment and circumstances and working towards a better to-morrow.

you got it man. life is hard enough without toxic people in your life sapping your energy. unfortunately now a days it seems most people are out for themselves.

anyway, what will blow your mind is one day when you've got a lot of it all figured out you'll find out that LIFE is pretty easy also.

hehe.

but it takes some time to figure life out enough to the point where it gets easy.

Nice to see a positive post. Ever consider that life is what you make of it?

What make "relationships" hard are

1- Bad choice of partner (long post to describe a bad choice as it doesn’t necessary means choosing a “bad woman”, but more of choosing somebody that is incompatible with you)

2- The fact that we must compromise some things. After all, we are all different, so in order to find a balance in a relationship we must compromise some things. There is no way around that. And that on itself is a little hard.

However, as long as BOTH people compromise…and as long as BOTH are not compromising issues as they relate to values/morals/self-respect…then things tend to be alright (assuming you pick the right partner).

I like your positive outlook. However, don’t kid yourself into thinking that having a successful relationship does not require some level of effort. But success starts with having a positive outlook at things. And based on this thread...you are already there.
