i tried something different and chatted on the phone for too long (about 45 minutes maybe). usually, i'd keep calls short and ask for the meet up. anyways, this chick told me she'd call back the next day. she didn't call but i think i'll go back to keeping calls short/sweet/to the point rather than trying to gain comfort over the phone. i've seen different views on this. what works best for you guys?

Short and sweet definately. Much better to say the rest in person.

I've gone with the comfort over the phone bit when I was learning. Short and sweet is good when you're chasing. But there's nothing wrong with a conversation once you start dating, if you take that route.

Just keep it fluff talk. You COULD be with her instead of talking, but sometimes you can't. The hard to get aspect works for when you're trying to attract them. But once you've got them, dude, you've got them.

To paraphrase a quote from A Bronx Tale: "When you two are under under the sheets at night, that's all that matters."

The point is don't always worry about what is and what isn't a "DJ" way. If you play your cards right, you'll have HB on the other end of the phone. No naysayer can take away your results. Just don't be her tampon, that's what her girls friends are for.
