Well I've been bought up hardcore Christian, although I'm agnostic now. Logic is telling me its fine, but for some reason something else is saying no.

I just can't imagine after opening my wallet and going "here". I'd rather work for it and know that she did it because she was attracted to me.

I feel the same way, although I have no moral opposition to prostitution and think it should be legal.

That's not the question people are responding to in your poll, keep that in mind. Personally, I would not hire a prositute, but I also feel like there is no problem with prostitution so I put "approve" as my answer.

I got the idea for this from another thread where some guy hired an escort for his friend's bday. Pretty much everyone cheers him on.

Im thinking if so many guys here are such supporters of prostitution and wouldn't mind hiring one (i'm not saying you guys in this thread but guys on this site in general), than why not make this into a forum that shows guys how to make money so they can be wealthy and just hire hookers all the time.

Seems like that would be more productive than guys here trying to learn how to get laid when all they really want is sex and wouldn't mind paying for it.

A prositute is a woman just like any other woman, the only difference is that she has 100 times more sexual partners then your average woman and does it solely for money. Other then that do you really believe that what you call "dating" is a whole lot different then modern "prostitution"??. In the end it all ends in sex. Not to mention the courting of a woman for sex via dating (Yes Men are after sex - Get that through your thick skulls, if it wasn't for sex Men would not pursue women because it is a deal breaker for a relationship) does require you to spend some time and money which usually ends up being to what a prostitue charges for the night.

Just remember kids there is no such thing as a clean prostitute. That is why its better to "date" a woman who hasn't had that many sexual partners. The more sexual partner's a woman sleeps with, the less value she has in this world.

Actually YES THERE IS A DIFFERENCE. Maybe to you guys sex is just meaningless sex. But I'm not a teenager anymore and i dont just want sex for the sake of sex.

That gets boring, and I think that is usually the goal when you're not getting that much sex. Before I dated the girl I recently broke up with I had had plenty of girlfriends and plenty of sex. Ive had sex thrown at me for most of my life. My most recent girlfriend was nearly going to propose to me.

I think sex should be meaningful. That's why i think most guys on this site must be virgins because all they think about is sex for the sake of sex. It should be a connection and you should feel something. Otherwise yeah just go pay for it, i guess if that's your logic your better off.

I date but usually I let my gfs take ME out. not the other way around. I let them cook for me and take me places. I think you guys got some things backwards or maybe it's just me. Dating is fun and it should be. it shouldn't be about trying to get the girl in bed with you. Stop thinking about sex sex sex so much and realize theres lots of things to get to know about the girl before you stick it in her.

I would never go with one myself, but what 2 consenting and clear thinking adults do in private is their business and I'm in no position to judge.

However, I do think prostitution should be legalised and organised. Legal brothels would help take prostitution from the hands of the pimps, protect the women and give them a safer environment to do their thing. Prostitutes and customers could be tested for STDs or criminal records etc. Obviously it wouldn't stop illegal prostitution from continuing, but it would be a start in helping solve some of the dangers.

But I think it should be discreet and confined behind closed doors, not in your face like in Amsterdam. That's tacky and inconsiderate towards people who don't want it.

If i could simply go to the pub and pick up a car for free......i would never buy a car......you figure it out.

"Why pay for something that you can have given to you for free?"

The guys that do approve of paying for sex don't have the same outlooks towards finance that I do. Hey baby, how much for a BJ? Do you take credit cards?

I can't fully wrap my head around the concept. How does this market even exist? If someone offers goods and services and charges for the same goods and services that are widely available for no cost, who is dumb enough to fork over money? Especially when the goods being paid for are of poorer quality than the free product... I mean, you are paying for a s1utty wh0re!

Alas... it is as they say: A fool and his money are soon to be parted.

Morally I could care less. In fact, simple prostitution (as opposed to sex slaves) probably helps prevent some crime as it keeps the unbridled rage of some unstable losers in check. It's dirty though, that's for sure. Ever see those prostitution stings on TV where they raid the hor-house, and find used needles and the grain alcohol the hooker uses to disinfect her snatch? Nasty!

But it's kind of like when a bum comes up to my windshield with a wadded up newpaper and a bottle of Windex - I hit the washer button to remind them that not only is it free, but it's a much better wash.

It's also like when a woman comes up to you in the bar and asks you to buy her a drink. Why would I do that when I can talk to a better quality woman for free?

Personally, I find the thought of using those services and paying for it repulsive. I would never do it. In the long run, I could probably save time and possibly money by using those services (hey, I believe what Krassus said), but it's not the same.

She wouldn't be doing it because she wants to do it (with you), but instead it's because it's a job and she needs to make a living.

I went to a strip club once, and even got a lap dance (yawn). It did feel kind of nice, but I knew it was insincere, and she knew it. I even asked her why she decided to do that job. That shows I wasn't able to care about the sexual element, and was more interested in why she would ever want to do such a job. She said it's good money, and I'm not surprised. There are enough chumpish people out there that's there's a sufficient market, even if the great, great majority of women would never do such a job. Not surprisingly, I never went to a strip club again and I don't care to.


However, I think it's ridiculous not to let it happen legally. Thing is, there's always going to be a market for it. There always has been, and probably always will be. It's been said that it's the oldest profession ever. Plus, if you think about it, it doesn't hurt anyone. These people aren't serial killers murduring dozens of people.

On the other hand, I'm not sure if it's something I want to see everywhere. Strip clubs and *****houses are fine because if isn't something you want, you don't have to go there.

While I'm personally turned off by such concepts, I'm going to have to vote "Approve."

Now, I think the answer to the main question depends on where you have been brought up. Compare Australia to the US. In Australia the prostitution business is legit and thus offers a much higher degree of services than compared to the US one. It is also not regarded as dirty as it is in the US.
