So I wanted to use the bathroon today but I noticed that the lights are on and the door is closed. So I open the door real slow in case anyone was there, and it turns out of my housemates female friends was in the bathroom brushing her hair. She gives me a dirty look and says 'can you knock before opening the door???' in a rude tone. I then blurt out 'the door wasn't locked. . .sorry'.
If I should've kept my cool and said with a smirk 'sure thing, but if you don't want anyone comming in, i highly suggest you lock the door'.
I've been in this situation many times. All of them could've been handled better if I had not been in a rush to say something and just kept my cool.
Then it hit me, each morning i'll make a body language check list, and keep it in mind throughout the day.
My list is:
1.Never lose your cool
2. Take things slow and calm, never be in rush to say anything
3. Talk with my deep voice
4. Always be aware of your suroundings, be and look alert
5. Don't take crap from anyone.
