Hey guys, was talking to a girl the other day on aim, and she was kind of depressed cuz she had recently been dumped by her bf. We had kind of been sharing our sorrows, I recently became single too. Shes cute, probably HB 8, and shes a cool person to talk to and we're just friends but I like to throw in a couple come ons every now. It'd been a while since I had talked to her and she had sent me a couple recent pics of her so I had an idea to cheer her up a little bit. It went something like

me- so I saw this really cute chic today
her- yeah?
me- yeah she seemed kinda down though, I've been tryin to think up ways to cheer her up a bit
her- awe, thats nice of you, how come shes sad
me- oh something about her boyfriend being an @ss and dumping her and what not
her- lol thanks Kourt

It was the kind of subtle compliment that seemed to cheer her up a bit and I figure it can be used in quiet a few other situations so I throught I'd throw it out there for you guys to mull over and/or comment on

IMHO the whole shoulder-to-cry-on approach seems a bit AFC-ish for me and being the rebound guy is a one way ticket to disappointment.

haha, I have no intentions of every doing anything with her, just idle chit chat and all that good stuff so its not like i'm every going to lose out on anything

I think people are missing the point of the thread,which is titled "surprise compliment".Similar to SOI for all you MM readers/followers,but done in an "under the radar" kind of way.For all that find it difficult to really pass a soi/neg naturally but don't want to directly compliment a girl.
