Hi everyone,
Through an Online dating site, I recently met an interesting and funny woman. We have been sending each other messages for about 2 weeks until we decide to have a date together as there were many chances there could be some chemistry between us.
So, we met in a cafe, had a great conversation and then went out to share outdoor activities. It was really great and had a lot of fun together as we were showing a lot of attention and curiosity for each other: a great date. I do have as rule of tumb to keep some kind of distance on a first date. After all, we don't know much each other and I try to make it friendly, nothing more. However, it doesn't mean that you can't send any subtle signals. So we quit each other with a friendly kiss and agreeing on the fact that we must meet again. When? Shortly, but I told her that I wasn't knowing when exactly because of my work schedule which is quite intensive at the moment and the many friends that I have already planned to meet over the next week (I'm working while most of my friends are actually in vacation)
When I came back home, as I was working on my computer, she sent me an IM to tell me she had a great date with me and she was eager to see what idea I would have for our next date. I waited for about an hour to reply her briefly that I was also eager about it. Nothing more, nothing less as I was going to bed and was a good way to keep some kind of mystery.
As I'm a methodic person, my choice was already made way before the end of the first date. So, the next day, when I came back from work, I proposed her to go on a second date next weekend. However, her reaction has been very strange.
To go straight to the point, she LBJF'ed me following my proposition. Honestly, this is the first time it happen to me. My reply has been quite direct: "What? Do you think I had any expectations about you after only a date? Come on! (an indirect way to tell her that I wasn't as easy to catch as she was seeming to believe). She tried to avoid to answer my question by changing the conversation topic and later, I came back with my date proposition which she accepted by proposing a time where we would meet each other and I came back with another time pretending I was busy during that "time", which she accepted (finally, it was just a test of her real interest she has for me).
Honnestly, this is the first time I have to face such thing and I feel a bit out of balance from that event. Is she was just testing me or does she's really meant it when she LJBF'ed me? My self-judgement tells me that I should be carefull, especially after such sudden change. The girl is cute and interesting, but I feel from theses words she could be of the "manipulative" sort of woman. I would like that something happen between us, but not at the cost of being manipulated. Perhaps, afterall, only the second date will come with an answer.
So you guys, what do you think about it? Have I made the good move?
